Built on the foundations of community and family, the Wynnum Manly Seagulls is an iconic club in the bayside area.

If you’ve driven past Kitchener Park on a Sunday during footy season, you’ll see families cheering on the young boys and girls in the famous red, white and green.

The Seagulls had a record 750 junior registered players in 2021, despite all of the challenges related to Covid. As a grassroots organisation, the Seagulls look to support everyone involved in the club, from the water boys to the referees, the growing number of females participating in the game, to the volunteers flipping snags on the BBQ.

When we consider all of the volunteers and sponsors involved in the club and its steady continued growth over the years, the club’s community presence has become a massive part of the bayside’s cultural fabric we all love.

Sign on day for 2022 is February 5th at Kitchener Park Wynnum, and everyone is welcome. Rugby league at the Seagulls is all about camaraderie, mateship, and being healthy and active, and all backgrounds, shapes and sizes are encouraged to get involved.

And don’t forget the famous pig races will be held on February 12 at Kitchener Park. This is a fantastic day out for the whole family and a very popular local event worth checking out.
