Redlands New Satellite Hospital
The Redlands Satellite Hospital set to open later this year will include a Minor Injury and Illness Clinic that will provide walk-in urgent care from 8:00am until late. The clinic will provide walk-in urgent care for common injuries and illnesses – like strains and sprains, broken bones, minor head injuries, infections and rashes, minor eye issues, minor cuts and burns, tooth ache and earache, and fever. It will also include renal dialysis chairs, chemotherapy chairs, neurology services, cardiology services, older persons care, appointments with mental health specialists, and medical imaging and diagnostic services.
New Learning Spaces for VPSHS
Its exciting times are Victoria Point State High School with the new $11M STEM and Hospitality precinct nearing completion. This will provide students with a fantastic new learning space and provide skills in hospitality, catering, science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This project complements a number of projects that have been completed over the past two years including the hall expansion project, science classrooms refurbishment, new school security fencing and the library ‘Moongalba’ Refurbishment. I’m focussed on ensuring our students are getting the best possible education and environments to have a life long love of learning.
Learning to Drive?
There is nothing more exciting for a young person that getting the Learner’s Permit to get out on the road. The cost of a learning licence has been reduced by half to $75 from the 1st March this year. Getting your Learner’s Permit is an exciting first step in their driving journey for our young people and their families. To further assist we have free Learner Driver Info Packs available from our Redlands Electorate Office that contains useful information and two magnetic Learner Plates. Our New Southern Redlands School
Our new school in Redland Bay down near Shoreline is coming out of the ground with ADCO Constructions setting a cracking pace. It is also very exciting to announce and welcome to our new Redland Bay South State School (yet to be named) Principal Mrs Hendriks. There is lots of community consultation to come on the new school’s name, colours and more! It is set to open in Term 1, 2024. Check out the school’s Facebook page.
