What is your name? Hi, I am Shlinky. I’m a boy.
Who do you live with? I live with my human family and my best friend Apollo, my cat. He’s one year older than me, and we share the same birthday on December 13. This year I will be three and Apollo will be four.
What is your favourite activity? My favourite time of day is whenever I see Mummy – she is my person. I go out in the morning, then someone lets me back inside, then I run straight upstairs, up the ramp to mine and Mummy’s bed, onto the blanket box, and I bounce and charge straight under her chin. I also love it when Daddy gets home. I run to the door, paw at his legs and give him a “Hooray for Sausage Dog”.
What is your favourite toy? My favourite toys are my humans or Apollo.
What is your favourite food? I love smoked salmon, prawns, sashimi, beef jerky, and whatever is on the humans’ table. I love weekends because that is when I get a poached egg.
What is your worst habit? I am partial to doing a revenge poo. Whenever Mummy and Daddy leave me for the weekend, I poop in the children’s bathroom.
What is your favourite place to hang out? I love to walk my block and let everyone know I’m there by trying to pee as high as I can so everyone thinks I’m taller than I actually am!
Do you have an embarrassing story to share? When I was a puppy, I peed on Daddy’s side of the bed. I felt instant remorse, started whimpering, and tried to fix it by pawing at it and digging it away, but it didn’t work. I was so sad.
What do people love most about you? I have long, fluffy, soft ears. I’m a good hugger, and I like to snuggle up to people. I get so excited to see all the people I love, and I cuddle and greet them with great enthusiasm, and it makes them feel happy.
