There’s something special about Wynnum Manly – when our community comes together, united for a cause, big things can happen. This August, we’ll see that spirit in action as the Seagulls celebrate 30 years since their unforgettable 1995 BRL premiership with a gala fundraising evening. Sure, we’ll be sharing a few laughs and swapping old stories, but this reunion is about more than reminiscing. It’s about looking out for our mates and getting behind a cause that hits close to home.
The event also honours the legacy of local icon Paul Green, whose tragic passing in 2022 was later linked to Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), a brain disease caused by repeated head knocks. Paul’s story has sparked vital conversations across the sporting world – and inspired many to support research that could protect future generations of players.
Whether you’ve followed the Seagulls for decades or just enjoy a good night with friends, everyone’s invited to the 1995 Premiership Reunion & Fundraiser. It’s our chance to come together and support important research into CTE.
