FROM REDLANDS HOCKEY

Redlands Hockey is a thriving hub for players of all ages and abilities, offering an inclusive and family-oriented environment.

With over 300 members and around 25 teams across various divisions, there truly is a place for everyone. From Rookies under seven years old to J1s in junior competitions (all mixed teams) and senior men’s and women’s teams, Redlands Hockey provides an opportunity for the whole family to participate. It’s not uncommon to see fathers and sons or mothers and daughters playing together in the senior divisions, emphasising the club’s strong family focus.

The association offers a wide range of opportunities for development, including skills clinics and representative hockey at state championships and carnivals. The Umpire Mentor program ensures junior and new umpires are supported by experienced mentors, fostering confidence and leadership. Many members have also achieved coaching and umpiring accreditations at state and national levels through Redlands.

With themed events like Crazy Sock Day, Top of the Table Clash, and junior trivia nights, Redlands Hockey brings the community together on and off the field.

For those looking to try hockey, Redlands Hockey will host ‘Come Try/Sign-On’ days on Sunday, February 23 and March 2, from 1:30pm to 3:00pm at Henry Ziegenfusz Park, Fitzroy Street, Cleveland. A fun-filled ‘Welcome Day’ follows on March 9, with games, a BBQ, and a chance to meet the Redlands Hockey family. Pre-season training kicks off on February 26 and is held weekly, with the season running from March 29 to September 13 at Henry Ziegenfusz Park, Cleveland.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, Redlands is the perfect place to have fun, stay fit, and be part of a vibrant hockey family. For more information, call 0459 389 511 or email [email protected].
