A large contingent of members from the Manly Dragon Boat Club recently travelled to Lake Kawana on the Sunshine Coast to take part in the Queensland State Championships.

The club enjoyed considerable success:

500m
Silver: Senior A Women standard boat
Bronze: Senior B Mixed standard boat
Bronze: Senior C Women small boat
Bronze: Senior B Open small boat

200m

Club members are now in serious training for the Australian Championships at the 2000 Olympic rowing venue at Penrith, Sydney, with crews attempting to qualify for the CCWC, to be held in Taiwan in 2026.

The club is looking for new paddlers and holds regular Come and Try sessions on Saturday mornings out of the Wynnum Manly Yacht Club.
