You could easily spend your weekend in Wynnum-Manly checking out iconic locations like the Wading Pool, the Pine Street bridge (duck!) or Manly Road Vets. Or you could swing by Kougari Oval – a seriously legendary location – and witness some scintillating footy this month, courtesy of an iconic local team.

There are few things more iconic in the Wynnum-Manly area than the Seagulls. Since 1951, they’ve been fiercely competitive. Their red and green jersey is instantly recognisable and has been proudly worn by many rugby league greats whose legendary playing styles upped the speed and skill level of the game. This year’s team is pumped to build on that legacy of greatness on the hallowed turf of another local icon: Kougari Oval.

March heralds the start of the footy season, and the Wynnum Manly Seagulls’ first home game is on Sunday March 16. Come down to Kougari, bring your neighbours and your friends, and cheer on the Seagulls. You won’t want to miss the incredible talent on show! Find out more about the Seagulls here.
