Jump Rope for Heart has been a mainstay in Aussie schools for more than 40 years, and for one local teacher, the program sparked a lifelong love of skipping. Carolyn Barker coaches Air Magic, Cleveland’s very own world champion skipping team. In fact, one member of that team holds the title of the most decorated skipper in the world, and the Air Magic kids are back-to-back world champs. Wow!

Air Magic jets off to Japan in late July for an eight-day biennial world competition. We wish them the best! Find out more about Air Magic on page 5.

Each month, we’re privileged to showcase people in our community doing great things. Our goals are simple: to make you feel good about where you live and connect our community.

Whether you participate in sports, volunteer, buy a ticket to a show, attend a free event, or brighten someone’s day with a smile at the shops, you are part of the reason the Redlands is such a fantastic place to live.

If you’ve got good news, reach out to us – we’d love to share it!
