In 2025, Wynnum Bugs launched Walla Rugby, a national entry-level program introducing four to five-year-olds to the fundamental movements and core skills of rugby. The program was a roaring success and will continue in 2026. We can’t wait to welcome back previous members and new participants, as well as see some of our little Walla friends transition into the U6 squad.
Battered Bugs is our veterans rugby side, built on inclusion, positivity, and connection. We welcome players over 35, whether they’re new to the sport or have been playing for years. Supporters are also encouraged to join and be part of something bigger than just rugby.
Our focus extends beyond the field — we champion mental health awareness and aim to strengthen our community by forging lifelong friendships and looking out for one another.
Whether you want to pull on the boots or simply be part of the community, social membership is always an option.
From bus trips and post-match banter to community events and giving back to the club, Veterans Rugby is where mateship thrives.
