The Wynnum Manly Seagulls would like to announce the beginning of the 2026 rugby league season and the celebration of their 75th season of operation as the Wynnum Manly Seagulls RLFC.
Wynnum Manly Seagulls has, for many years, provided a platform for rugby league athletes to strive for excellence in sport, with many achieving accolades at the highest levels of rugby league, including the National Rugby League, Queensland State of Origin, and playing for Australia.
Rugby League greats such as Lionel Morgan, Wally Lewis, Gene Miles, Bob Lindner, and Greg Dowling have worn the famous ‘green and red’ for the Seagulls. In recent times, players such as Selwyn Cobbo, Cory Paix, and Julia Robinson have played with the Seagulls and gone on to achieve further success with NRL premierships and state and national honours, underpinning the strong reputation of the mighty Wynnum Manly Seagulls RLFC.
“We are very proud to announce the celebration of our 75th rugby league season in 2026,” said Wynnum Manly Seagulls’ CEO Wayne Weekes.
“The long-standing heritage and history of our club are loved and embraced by our community, supporters, members, and stakeholders alike.
“While the current group of 2026 players and staff are very proud to have our own place in our club’s history, we honour all of the members of the Seagulls from the past who, without their commitment and passion, we wouldn’t have the platform for our men and women to compete in the Queensland statewide competition that we have today.”
Wynnum Manly Seagulls RLFC invites the community of Wynnum/Manly, Redlands, and surrounding areas to get behind the premier rugby league club in our region and support our rugby league club to celebrate its 75th year of operation.

- Friday 27th Feb – Golf Day/Season Launch at Wynnum Golf Club.
- Sunday 8th Feb – Kougari Oval – RD 1, Junior Representative Boys and Girls, 10:30am onwards.
- Saturday 14th Feb – Kougari Oval – Host Plus Cup Trial: Wynnum Manly Seagulls vs Tweed Seagulls from 3:00pm.
- Saturday 7th March – Rd 1 at Kougari Oval – Host plus Cup/Mitch Cronin Cup Day: Wynnum Manly Seagulls vs Souths Magpies
