There was a sense of redemption at Wynnum Golf Club on Monday 30 March as the Bartons/BMD Pro-Am returned under clear skies after last year’s event was dramatically abandoned mid-play due to severe weather. In near-perfect conditions, Australia’s richest one-day Pro-Am produced a memorable day and a fitting conclusion to the 2025 Adidas PGA Pro-Am Series.

Long regarded as one of the standout events on the national Pro-Am calendar, the Bartons/BMD Pro-Am once again lived up to its reputation, attracting a quality field of professionals and amateurs for a day that combined elite competition with the relaxed spirit and strong community support the event is known for. A thrilling three-way share of the title provided the perfect finishing touch to a tournament that again showcased why it is held in such high regard.

What continues to distinguish the Bartons/BMD Pro-Am is not only the calibre of golf on display, but the strength of the partnerships behind it. Through the enduring support of Bartons, BMD and a loyal network of sponsors, the event has grown into much more than a tournament. It is a celebrated fixture built on commitment, community and a shared passion for the game.

After the frustration of November, this year’s staging felt especially significant. It was more than a successful return. It was a deserved one, and a reminder of why the Bartons/BMD Pro-Am remains one of the most respected and anticipated one-day events on the Australian golfing calendar.
