Amy Jackson, of Nurturing Confidence, based at Manly, has been selected as a finalist for the 2023 Women Changing the World Awards.

The awards, presented by Oprah Winfrey’s all-time favourite guest, Dr Tererai Trent, celebrate and recognise women achieving outstanding success in areas such as sustainability, humanitarian work, leadership, advocacy, tech, product development, education, health and innovation. They are designed to recognise the growing number of women who are ‘leading the way’ in making the world a better place for us all and inspiring other women to take action.

As a leadership coach, Amy is committed to transforming managers into confident, strategic leaders who choose to do what is right for the bigger picture, rather than what is easy, every day. She works extensively within public sector and the education space, and with mid-level professionals, emerging leaders, final year university students, and small business owners.

“My core purpose at Nurturing Confidence is to help more people achieve their potential, so they can lead bigger lives that change their world,” says Amy.

“This work is so important, and I see the highest impact when we work with people’s real-life, everyday issues. I encourage playfulness and curiosity with my clients, and am well-known for my stick figures drawings, which have become a unique way for people to identify me and my work!”

Dr Trent’s vision for these awards is to empower women across the globe to unite and pave the way towards a better future for all.

In the last year, Amy has helped over 50 public service leaders shift their leadership approach to become more impactful in their own environment. Using a team of other local small businesses, she has created a growing toolkit of online, affordable short courses, for those who are time-poor, or unable to financially access individual leadership coaching.

Amy wants to help all people find the confidence to step up and do the hard work – not only those with ‘leader’ or ‘manager’ in their job title.

The winners of the 2023 Women Changing the World Awards will be announced at an event in London, United Kingdom on 18 April 2023.
