Community

Waterloo Bay Leisure Centre Shire Clerk’s Cottage Annual Spring Fair and Mini Ekka (postponed from August due to COVID lockdowns) will be held on Saturday 16th October, 2021 from 8am to 1pm at 241 Tingal Road, Wynnum.

The market will host a Mini Ekka, featuring special entertainment for children including a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, fairy floss, and 100-plus free showbags to give away to children under 12-years-of-age. Thank you to Boomerang Bags (members of the Centre) for generously donating 50 handmade bags to fill, and Ross Vasta, Joan Pease and Peter Cumming for their generous donations.

The market showcases local talented artists and craftspeople. It’s your opportunity to buy an original painting for yourself or as a special gift, or beautiful handicrafts including jewellery, clothing, knitted goods, home baked goods, plants and much more.

There will be over 80 amazing market stalls both inside the auditorium and outside in the grounds of the cottage. It’s not too early to find that special, unique Christmas gift. Enjoy a delicious Devonshire Tea on the cottage verandah. Fresh scones are baked on site on market day. The cottage is also open for viewing on market day.
