FROM THE WATERLOO BAY LEISURE CENTRE VOLUNTEERS

The Waterloo Bay Leisure Centre, located at 241 Tingal Road Wynnum, has a range of events scheduled for March 2023.

CONCERTS

14th March, 9.30am – entertainment by Dennis Boland

Morning tea is served from 9.30am and the concerts run from 10.15am to 11.45am. A two-course hot lunch is served after the concert. The cost is $10 for the concert plus morning tea, plus an additional $10 for the two-course lunch served after the concert.

28th March, 9.30am – Special Easter Concert with entertainment by Lachlan Wallace

Doors open at 9.30am for morning tea followed by the concert from 10.15am to 11.45am. A two-course hot lunch is served after the concert. The event costs $25, which includes the concert, morning tea and the two-course hot lunch served after the concert. There will be a prize for the best Easter bonnet, and a lucky door prize and raffles.

SHIRE CLERK’S COTTAGE MARKET

Saturday 18th March from 8am to 1pm

The market showcases our local talented artists and craftspeople. Buy yourself an original painting or some of the beautiful handicrafts created within the centre, including artwork, crafts, jewellery, clothing, home baked goods, plants and much more. The market hosts over 70 market stalls inside the auditorium and outside in the cottage grounds. Enjoy a delicious Devonshire Tea on the cottage verandah. Fresh scones are baked on site on market day. The cottage will also be open for viewing.

REPAIR CAFÉ

Saturday 11th March from 2pm to 4pm

Toss it – no way! Bring along that broken, damaged item to be fixed or repaired and at the same time minimise landfill. It’s free. Enjoy a Devonshire Tea served by the Waterloo Bay Leisure Centre canteen (cost $5) while having your repairs done.
