FROM WROCCS

Are you a Holden or a Ford person? This was a bone of contention last century. In this 21st century the question is, “are you an Apple or an Android person?”. If you are still confused as to what your phone, tablet or computer is, or you’re tired of asking your grandchildren for help, WROCCS – the Wynnum Region Organised Computing Club for Seniors – is the club for you.

Friendly monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Wynnum Community Centre, Florence St, Wynnum, Room 2.10, commencing 10.30am.

Monthly guest speakers cover a wide range of subjects of interest to seniors, October’s being the Senior Librarian of the Wynnum BCC Library covering the wonderful world of e-books.

A newsletter is available at the members’ meetings covering all topics, dates, times and fees, plus other interesting information.

In addition, during the meeting full information is provided on topics available for tuition at the club’s base in Sunflower Street for the following four weeks.

Our volunteer coaches are available to discuss your needs and bookings can be made then. Classes consist of two-hour sessions over two, three or four weeks depending on the subject. One-on-one sessions are also offered with a coach and just yourself for one hour.

Please call 0411 806 154 if you require more information. We, the friendly club, look forward to seeing you on 12th October.
