FROM GKR KARATE

When one of our instructors at GKR Karate fought back against her own battle with breast cancer, she felt the best way to celebrate was to educate. Since then, GKR Karate has proudly supported The Pink Belt #StrongerTogether campaign.

During October, Instructors and students swap their traditional belts for a pink belt, to raise awareness and much needed funds to help find a cure for cancer. With over 22,000 students in Australia, the support for this cause is significant each year, and all proceeds go to the Cancer Council.

GKR Karate has raised over $70,000 in Australia alone during this year’s campaign. Our New Zealand and UK students and instructors also contributed almost $40,000 to this worthy cause.

As a club, GKR Karate prides itself on its inclusive and supportive culture, making martial arts accessible to everyone regardless of age, gender, fitness levels or abilities.

Although we promote self-defence and fitness, our style also fosters positive values, confidence, discipline, focus and wellbeing.

GKR Karate runs sessions in Redland Bay, Victoria Point, Cleveland, Wynnum, Wellington Point and from our own Karate Centre in Capalaba.
