Plant lovers dreaming of bringing the lushness of the tropics into their own homes and gardens must go to the Tropical Foliage Festival, presented by the International Cordyline Society on November 27 and 28 at the Belmont Shooting Complex.

There will be a huge range of tropical plants for sale. The rare plant auction gives bidders the chance to snag that Insta-worthy plant they’re longing for. Guest speakers on Saturday November 27th include The King of Ferns, Darryl Ruprecht, and legendary tropical garden design guru Dennis Hundscheidt, from Palmyra Landscaping and Design.

With over 30 years’ experience in Australia and overseas, Dennis will present on “ Setting up a Tropical Garden” with great advice for both new and experienced gardeners. As foundation president of the International Cordyline Society, Dennis was instrumental in importing many of the much loved cordylines and tropical plants found in gardens today. His famous open garden has featured regularly on television and in magazines.

Along with plant displays, monster raffles, refreshments and plant minding, many growers will be keen to advise you on how to best look after your plants. If you’re amazed by the rich, vibrant beauty of the tropical plant world, you will be able to join the International Cordyline Society on the day.
