BY MERRIE O’NEILL, PRESIDENT, SCOPE CLUB OF WYNNUM

It’s that time of the year again, when Scope Club calls for nominations for a quiet achiever who deserves recognition in the Wynnum Manly area.

As we begin a new year, it’s time to thank those who have given their time in a volunteer capacity to help those less fortunate, and to nominate them for the 2022 Australia Day Award.

Nominees must be aged 18 years and older, and their volunteer work must not be part of their normal paid duties.

The award will be formally presented at the Australia Day celebration on the 26th of January 2022 at the George Clayton Park Bandstand on the Manly waterfront. If this venue changes, notification will be provided prior to the event.

Scope Club of Wynnum has been presenting this award in the local area for approximately 30 years, and once again looks forward to receiving nominations.

To nominate someone you think deserves this award, you’ll need to submit details of the nominee’s contribution to the community.

Written nominations must be received by the 17th of January 2022, and can be forwarded to:

The Scope Club of Wynnum Inc.
PO Box 184
Wynnum Qld 4178
