Wynnum’s weather turned it on for the annual Bartons/BMD Legends Pro-Am, held in August at the Wynnum Golf Club.

Attended by local businesses, BMD and Bartons and many long-standing valued sponsors, along with 60 golf pros, the event was an exciting precursor to the Bartons/BMD Pro-Am, which will be held on November 28. As Australia’s richest one-day Pro-Am, the event has committed to a record $100,000 purse to reflect the centenary of Wynnum Golf Club.

The current leader of the SParms PGA Legends Tour Order of Merit, Andre Stolz, proved strongest on the day at this year’s Legends Pro-Am, his victory was achieved in part due to his return to his old Odyssey White Hot Mid putter, a club which was purchased 20 years ago and not used for the past four months.

Our local community can also be winners by entering Wynnum Golf Club’s LVTong Golf Cart raffle, to be drawn on Friday, December 16. Donated by Bartons and BMD, the $13,000 golf cart raffle is part of the Wynnum Golf Club’s centenary celebrations, with all proceeds going directly back into the club. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by visiting www.raffletix.com.au/centenaryraffle2022.
