Bayside Community Fund Events

May 2023: Pups in the Park
Pups in the Park was a barking success! Held at the Wynnum Bugs’ grounds in May 2023, we saw over 2,000 people enjoy a great day out with their pups. We look forward to hosting another Pups in the Park event in 2024.

Bayside Community Awards
The Bayside Community Awards was launched to recognise and support community groups, small businesses and charities in the bayside area. We had over 9,700 votes and 14 category winners. The next awards night will be on November 7, 2024.

Financial Contributors and Volunteers
We want to thank our donors, all the committee and volunteers who were involved with our events this year, along with our community partners, including Wynnum Bugs, Guide Dogs Qld, Wynnum Arts Council, Joan Pease MP, The Small Business Lawyer, and groups including Celebrate for a Cause, Wynnum Fringe, and the Fun Fu Festival who generously donated money from ticket sales.

About the Fund

The Bayside Community Fund (BCF) is a perpetual benefit fund built by bayside locals to create funding opportunities for a better future for the bayside area. Every dollar donated is invested and the income from the investments is directed back to the community groups and non-profit organisations in the bayside area, which is defined by the boundaries of the Lytton electorate. From grants to support sports, arts, environmental and cultural initiatives to aiding vulnerable persons and groups, the BCF represents a grassroots funding source that channels financial assistance directly to those in need.

Donating to the BCF is an investment in the betterment of the bayside community forever.
