The creative crew behind Blue Tongue Adventure’s disability support programs have started ramping up preparations for Christmas to stock the shelves at Blue Tongue Collectables with unique and heartfelt gifts.

The luxurious bath and body products, ceramics and candles are the result of various Blue Tongue Adventure programs which run in the studio space behind the Collectables shop. These programs provide a chance for participants to learn new skills and let their creativity flow.

Through the Industries Program, participants get hands-on in the production process by making and packaging a bath and body range including aromatherapy bath salts, whipped scrubs, lotions, moisturisers and scented soap bars. Their scented soy candles are also a huge hit with shoppers.

In the Art + Soul program participants have been enjoying ceramics workshops, hand-painting bisqueware pieces ranging from unique platters to delicate trinket dishes. They’ve also crafted some handmade clay pinch pots with rustic glaze effects. Each one is unique and sure to make a statement on display in any home.

Blue Tongue Adventure’s director Alex Shaw said this will be just the second Christmas season for the Blue Tongue Collectables shop.

“We had such a great response from the local community to the crew’s products last year, and I know they’ll be delighted to see how popular their creations are again this year,” she said.

More stock will be added to the shelves in the lead-up to Christmas, so be sure to visit the shop on 260 Tingal Road, Wynnum.
