Redlands Volunteer Branch of Cancer Council Qld consists of more than 60 dedicated members who are passionate about raising funds for a cancer free future. Each year they raise more than $100,000 that contributes to vital cancer research, support services for patients and their families, and prevention and early detection campaigns.

Cancer never rests, so neither do we!

What we do
The Redlands Volunteer Branch meets each month at Cleveland to plan future events, evaluate past events and record finances. Branch members stay up-to-date with fundraising, food handling, health legislation, regulations and support our volunteer base.

All funds raised are deposited directly to head office (CCQ) each month.

The branch hosts craft and plant stalls at markets, shopping centres and local events such as car shows, fetes and open days.

Members join in morning teas, lunches, garage sales and cent auctions as well as producing jams, spreads, cakes and crafts for sale. The branch runs raffles and seeks the assistance of local businesses for donations and prizes. Volunteers also provide labour for barbecues and community events.

Help is always needed at our morning teas with setting up and serving food and selling raffle tickets.

You can join a sub-committee to plan coming events, work behind the scenes with marketing, sourcing and operations and, of course, help at our annual Daffodil Day.

By attending our monthly meeting you can help plan future events, evaluate past events, record finances, stay up to date with fundraising, food handling, health legislations, regulations and support our volunteer base.

You can help a little, or a lot, depending on your availability.
