The newest must-try bayside venue is creating a buzz locally, offering both an upmarket seafood dining experience, and the perfect picnic-in-the-park meal for families and friends to share these holidays.

After much community anticipation, Pippy Fish Café is now open in Thorneside, right next door to sister establishment Blue Tongue Pantry Café, and overlooking Beth Boyd Park and Waterloo Bay.

Pippy’s dine-in menu will impress the most discerning pescatarian with its seasonal selection. Eye-catching entrée choices include a black bao bun with soft shell crab, lime and slaw, or the luxe lobster tail brioche roll.

The mains selection is tight, with a focus on quality: from chilli prawn fettucine, to generous hot and cold seafood platters, made for sharing. A carefully curated beverage menu features an impressive list of Australian craft beers, with a focus on independent producers, and a wine selection perfect for seafood pairing.

Takeaway choices include fish of the day, prawns by the kilo, and the delicious and convenient Fish Cornetto combining seafood, salad and chips in an easy-to-hold cone presentation. Chips don’t play second fiddle at Pippy – serious chip lovers must try these hand-cut delights, farm-fresh from the Darling Downs.

From sourcing its local catch to serving customers, Pippy is all about community connections, great hospitality, and good times, and they can’t wait to welcome friends and new faces alike.

Pippy Fish Café is open Wednesday to Sunday from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm at 100 Mooroondu Road, Thorneside. For bookings, call 0447 786 476 or email [email protected]
