BABI Seventy-8 youth space is designed for young people aged 12 to 25 years who are looking for a safe, fun place to hang out with friends and meet new people. The best part is that all activities offered by the Seventy-8 program are free.

Activities offered in the drop-in space can include (but are not limited to) cooking, art, music, gaming, basketball, ping pong, pool and cultural activities. In conjunction with the drop-in activities, Seventy-8 is also running for the school term: Hip Hop Dancing Tuesday 3pm-4pm, Group PT Wednesday 3pm-4pm, Fishing (off site) Thursday 3.30pm – 5pm, MMA (off-site) Friday 1.30pm-3.30pm. Sign-up is required for term activities.

BABI Seventy-8 is designed as a soft entry point to our services, with our qualified youth workers not only providing supervision to the space and activities but providing additional support to the young people, such as facilitating referrals for mental health, housing and other support, job search activities, enrolling into school/study, resume writing, applying for Centrelink, Medicare and tax file numbers, and brief intervention support as the need arises.

Seventy-8 youth space is fitted with computers, phone charging centre, cooking equipment, free Wi-Fi, game consoles, and a TV with Netflix.

Come check the space out at 34 Bay Tce, Wynnum, from 3pm – 5.30pm on weekdays and until
8pm on Thursdays and Fridays. For more information about this space, follow us on Facebook and Instagram @babiyouthandfamilyservice or contact Sian at 0406 633 642.
