As the year kicks into gear, we’re spoilt for choice with many fantastic events on the horizon. From footy to festivals, concerts and workshops, you’ll never be bored on the bayside!

A colourful celebration of Chinese culture is coming to Manly West this month when Bayside Language School hosts a free Fun-Fu Festival, and everyone’s welcome.

It’s the Year of the Rabbit, and the festival promises to be a feast for all the senses, showcasing Chinese traditions such as Kung Fu, lion dancing and dumpling making. Indulge in authentic Chinese delicacies, try your hand at calligraphy and crafts, and play traditional games.

According to the Chinese Zodiac, the rabbit represents luck, good fortune and longevity, and who doesn’t need those? So hop to it, mark your calendar for February 11 and get ready to paint the afternoon red. Find out more on page 5.

Amay Small from Bayside Language School is excited to share Chinese culture with the bayside community at the upcoming festival.
