BY ALLANA BIANCHI, PARKRUN AMBASSADOR
Every Saturday morning at 7am at the Wynnum wading pool, a number of people run, walk or jog 5km for parkrun. The event can only occur with the help of generous volunteers, and there are over 20 volunteer roles available every week. All volunteer roles are outdoors surrounded by people of all ages and abilities, and there is always lots of laughter shared.
Why not kick-off your weekend in a positive way by volunteering at parkrun where you can be outdoors meeting people, joining a supportive group, using your skills and developing new skills? Around one hour of time is all that is required.
If you would like to lend a hand, register for free at parkrun.com.au/register, and let us know your availability by emailing [email protected] or message us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/wynnumparkrun. We look forward to welcoming you and having you as part of the team.
