FROM BAYSIDE SOCIAL MUMS CLUB

A little while back, a mum in our Bayside Social Mums Club community posted in the group asking for artificial turf laying recommendations. She wanted to build a cubby house for her son following a relapse of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. When the mums in our group heard about why she needed the turf laid, they wanted to help!

Little Leo, aged three, spends much of his time in hospital, and when he’s not there he’s largely housebound as he cannot go to public spaces and interact with other children. To help this amazing mumma make this cubby dream happen for her boy, our amazing group of 3300 mums banded together in an intense fundraising mission. In just one afternoon we pulled together a donation for $2740, as well as some cubby house toys for gorgeous Leo.

This kindness from a group of passionate mums was able to purchase Leo the cubby house of his dreams and it was so delightful to see the smile on his face when he finally got to play in it. I am so proud of our wonderful mums and what we achieved for Leo and his family, and we wish him all the very best for his cancer journey.
