FROM THE WYNNUM MANLY & DISTRICTS MENS’ SHED

The Wynnum Manly & Districts Mens’ Shed president would like to thank everyone who supported the group’s fundraising sausage sizzle at Manly Markets on Sunday, 18th December. A total of $1430 in sales and donations was raised for the Police Union’s Arnold and McCrow Remembrance Fund. Our condolences go to all the families concerned.

A donation of $1000 has also been given to the Black Dog Institute, and a further $1000 to Mater Little Miracles, and $1000 to the Catherine’s House Project, a purpose-built facility for mothers with post-natal depression, which will be opened this year. All are very worthy causes.

What is a Men’s Shed?
A Men’s Shed is a community-based, non-profit, non-commercial organisation that is accessible to all men and whose primary activity is the provision of a safe and friendly environment where men are able to work on meaningful projects at their own pace in their own time in the company of other men. A major objective is to advance the well-being and health of our members.
