Happy New Year to everyone from all our members at the Old SchoolHouse Gallery! We trust you had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.

In January, the gallery is undergoing a complete refresh and facelift, painted inside and outside, ready for the coming year. This was made possible through a grant from the Redland City Council and the generosity of painter and decorator Daniel Hephburn.

The gallery will open on February 1, 2024, with exciting new artworks and some new members – two mixed-media artists and a woodworker – each bringing fresh styles to our artistic community. We welcome them and look forward to their beautiful works being displayed.

There’s also an exciting lineup of exhibitions throughout the year, including a unique selection of works in April to commemorate Anzac Day. The gallery will have its usual monthly change of exhibitions using a range of topics chosen by members and their invited guests.

Keep an eye out for our art markets, which will be in autumn and spring this year.

The official grand opening to unveil the gallery refresh is on February 3 from 5:00pm, and everyone in the community is invited to attend.

We look forward to welcoming all our patrons and new visitors to our special heritage buildings filled with beautiful artworks and artisan gifts.
