Twenty-eight CEOs and business leaders from across Brisbane swapped the boardroom for the workshop to help young people involved with local charity TRACTION assemble new bicycles as part of the TRACTION CEO Bike Build event during September.

The event raised over $110,000 for TRACTION programs, which engage young people in ‘hands on’ learning programs aimed at building their resilience, leadership and teamwork skills, and keeping them in school.

During the half-day session, TRACTION participants led the role of building a bike, guiding their CEO partner to get the job done. The participants worked from the Port of Brisbane’s Multi-User Terminal before testing out their new bikes on a temporary track set up in the car park.

Funds raised on the day will help enable more than 50 young people to access TRACTION programs.
