After 69 years, the Rotary Club of Wynnum and Manly experienced a first for the club, welcoming the concept of joint presidents in 2021/2022.

At the recent Rotary changeover dinner, joint presidents Jo-Anne O’Connor and David Groves were proud to confirm: “To us, being joint presidents this year has allowed us to be part of something truly special. The joint role allowed us to work together to lead our club, serve in our community, learn new leadership skills, and along with our Board and our Rotary members, help to make a difference in the lives of so many people locally and nationally, and internationally.”

Jo-Anne and David reiterated, “Our joint presidency has been about a great partnership – with each other, with our club and its members and with our local businesses and community. Inducting joint presidents was a first for our club but not the last as we now welcome and introduce our new joint presidents Tracey Wyatt and Rod Fletcher for the 2022/2023 Rotary year”.
