FROM ROSIES
As we set our sights on Christmas and end of year festivities, it can be easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of searching for the “perfect” gift, afternoons out with friends or workmates, and trimming the Christmas tree.
It can be easy to forget the message and meaning of the festive season – gathering together with family and friends, being present for one another, and giving of ourselves and our time freely.
Many of the people in our local community struggle at Christmas, having no place to go or being separated from loved ones. If you’re feeling alone this Christmas there is always room at Rosies.
Our outreaches operate somewhere across the state every single night of the year including Christmas. Our volunteers strive to provide a safe and inclusive space for all those who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, socially isolated, or lonely.
