Celebrate for a Cause, a beloved community initiative, returns for its seventh year, poised to add to the $256,000 already raised for bayside charities. Bayside businesses and community members are invited to the launch event on Friday, July 26, at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron.
“Our launch event is a celebration of community impact. We’re excited to have last year’s major charity partner, Rosies, share how the $46,000 raised was invested back into the bayside,” explained co-founder Kara Vallins. “Guests will also hear from The Bayside Community Fund, who received $11,600, about their long-term vision for the region.”
Attendees at the launch will also be the first to learn the identity of the 2024 Major Charity Partner and the exciting theme for the main fundraising event, scheduled for October 26 at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron. Expect a revitalised event experience with expanded activities and a more accessible ticket price to accommodate those facing financial pressures.
“With traditional funding sources becoming more difficult, we’ve seen a record number of charity applications this year,” explains founder Tracey Lucock. “Choosing our partner has been a rewarding challenge, as every organisation does such meaningful work. Our rigorous selection process ensures the chosen charity maximises the benefit to the bayside and aligns with the community’s current needs.”
Celebrate for a Cause’s launch event will take place on July 26 at 5:30pm at Royal QLD Yacht Squadron Tickets are available at www.cfcmanly.com.au.
