Like moths to a flame, we all love an open fire in winter. It warms the body, and enchants the soul. And when the bay breeze blasts its chill along the Manly waterfront, a new restaurant will glow as a beacon of warmth, enticing diners with the most traditional of cooking techniques: fire.
Playing with fire and food is all in a day’s work for renowned Australian chef Mat Fulford, who’s ready to stoke the flames at Manly’s newest dining destination.
Welcome to The Arsonist. With a glam refurbishment reminiscent of a dark and moody den, this fiery addition to Manly’s dining scene will open just in time for winter.
Here fire is the hero, contained by the custom-built wood-fired pit and grill in the open kitchen, where guests can immerse themselves in the experience of cooking over flames.
“This will be more than just a restaurant,” Fulford said. “It will be an experience.”
“There is something exciting about working with charcoal and open flames. By simplifying the cooking process, we enable the freshly-sourced produce and flavours to shine,” he said.
Whiskey lovers will rejoice in The Arsonist’s whiskey safes, allowing guests to purchase a bottle and store it securely onsite to enjoy whenever they visit.
This new bright spark on The Esplanade is another welcome gem in Manly’s evolving collection of diverse, quality restaurants.
