Are you planning a special function, party, family reunion, social group meeting or a special gathering? The Waterloo Bay Leisure Centre (The Centre) at 241 Tingal Road, Wynnum is a local community centre which has several areas and rooms for hire for your special occasion.
From small to large gatherings and functions, there are areas suitable for up to 160 people (subject to COVID restrictions).
The auditorium has a timber floor suitable for dancing and exercise, as well as a stage for bands and concerts. The Centre can also provide tables, chairs, and access to kitchen facilities for catering purposes.
The Heritage listed Shire Clerks Cottage in the grounds of The Centre is a great hire option for weddings and photographs.
The Centre is operated totally by volunteers and the income from venue hire is used to cover operating costs.
Currently The Centre plays host to groups running lessons and sessions such as karate, thai chi, ukulele group, zumba, social group meetings, and eisteddfods.
The canteen at The Centre is open for food and drinks for patrons as well as the general public
(during opening hours).

CONCERTS IN MAY 2021
Concert 11th May at 9.30am – entertainment by Terry Scott.
Concert 25th May at 9.30 am – entertainment by Dolphin Studios.
Doors open and morning tea is served from 9.30am, with the concert starting at 10.15am to 11.45am.
A two-course lunch is served after the concert. The cost is $8 for the concert plus morning tea, plus an additional $10 for a two-course lunch. Bookings are essential by phoning the Centre on 3396 9488.
