Sometimes, there’s a pivotal moment in a young person’s life that can change their future. It might come in the form of an inspiring mentor, offering a glimpse of new possibilities, or trying an activity that sparks a passion, forever. Our local clubs and associations are where leaders are developed and community connections forged, and they help our young people to thrive.
Developing leadership qualities and life skills in youngsters benefits all of us, which is why organisations like Scouts are so important. But everything has a cost. That’s why local mum Kate Shelby is applying all her gusto in organising Cleveland Scouts’ inaugural Christmas Extravaganza. Funds raised will allow more children to participate in Scouting who would otherwise miss out. More about that on page 3.
So, if you do see happy young faces running a sausage sizzle or selling raffle tickets, show your support. The funds raised could change the course of someone’s life.
We hope you enjoy this edition of The Community Leader, and make the most of everything the Redlands has to offer!
