McGuires’ Hotel Group and Small Steps 4 Hannah have teamed up and announced the first Day for Kids 2023, “Putt for a Purpose”, to be hosted by The Alexandra Hills Hotel Putt Putt on September 17 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
This exclusive ticketed event aims to bring families in the community together while raising much-needed funds and awareness for Australia’s growing domestic violence epidemic.
All proceeds from Putt Putt tickets will be donated to the Small Steps 4 Hannah Foundation.
The day will be jam-packed with kid’s entertainment, including face painting, kid’s mosh dancing, fairies, games, a BBQ, a magician show,
a hypnotist, live music and much more (and there’ll also be some ‘cold ones’ for the parents)!
There will also be random prizes for the best dressed, so theme your team for a chance to win. Many local businesses have supported the event and donated prizes to be drawn at the 12-noon raffle. Be there to win!
Deborah Ellyett, McGuires’ Hotels Business Development Manager, explained the importance of the event.
“It all starts with the little people. What can we do as a community to ensure kids grow up to not be victims of domestic violence? More importantly, what can we do to ensure kids don’t grow up to be perpetrators of family violence?” said Deborah.
“The message needs to be louder, clearer, and the conversation needs to come earlier. When you tell your kids you’re taking them to Putt for a Purpose, tell them why; share the legacy of Aaliyah, Laianah and Trey. Make their tragic deaths mean something.”
Small Steps 4 Hannah members will be at the event selling merchandise and speaking to the community.
