Australian Army Cadets is a national youth development program that shares the character and values of the Australian Army. The program is supported by the Australian Defence Force, and young people between the ages of 13 and 17 can join.

On Anzac Day, we remember our fallen soldiers and give thanks for the service of current and ex-defence personnel. Cadets play a key role in supporting multiple services through catafalque parties, carrying banners and community marches.

During a typical year, cadets experience and learn basic skills in both a home and field environment. Training includes drill and ceremonies, dress and bearing, through to bush survival, field craft, navigation, first aid skills and many other exciting activities.

Cadets can challenge themselves and achieve goals as part of a team, increase resilience and personal confidence, make new friends and support the community through activities such as Anzac/Remembrance Day and Legacy.

121 Army Cadet Unit parades Wednesday nights from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Brisbane Bayside College (Network drive, Wynnum) and can be contacted via www.armycadets.gov.au, email: [email protected] or by phone at 0418 787 763.
