We’re all competing for space. Rapid population growth has forced us to coexist with nature in a mish-mash of beauty and ugliness, but sometimes, looking at ‘ugly’ from a different view reveals the beauty in the beast. Depending on your view, a chunk of driftwood may be a thing of beauty or an eyesore. It’s all about perspective.
If you’d like to view the world and its wonders from a different perspective, art is a mind-nourishing way to do it. From the beach to the bay and the suburban jungle in between, there’s inspiration galore for local artists, and there are local artists galore who live to create.
This month’s exhibition at Cleveland’s Old SchoolHouse Gallery is titled A Different View, and the works on display are an interpretation of our local landscapes. Exhibiting artists Christine Earthrowl, Nicole Speakman, and Caroline Ness can’t wait to show you their creations.
Come along and see what you think.
