Christmas spirit will be shining bright on Saturday, December 20, 2025, when the Queensland Services Heritage Band Association (QSHBA) hosts its much-loved Bayside Carols at George Clayton Park, Manly Esplanade.
Now in its 12th year, the free community event promises more than five hours of festive entertainment for the whole family. The celebrations begin at 2:00pm with a pre-carols variety show featuring local artists and groups, followed by the main concert of Christmas carols at 6:45pm.
Families are encouraged to bring a rug or chairs and settle in for an afternoon of fun, including rides for the kids, food stalls, and plenty of Christmas cheer.
This year’s event will also feature an LED screen and live-stream to mark QSHBA’s 20th anniversary of providing music and entertainment across Queensland.
“For two decades, we’ve supported communities through music at festivals, ceremonies, and special events,” said event organiser Paul, from QSHBA. “Bayside Carols is our way of saying thank you to our local community.”
The association’s Christmas message for 2025 is ‘Never let the lights go out’ – a reminder to keep the joy and light of community events burning brightly, no matter the challenges in the world.
