On Saturday, 11 October 2025, the Birkdale Sports Club will burst into colour as the Redland Orchid Society’s Charity Spring Show returns for another spectacular season of blooms and garden inspiration.
From 8:30am to 3:00pm, visitors will be treated to a dazzling display of orchids – from rare, exotic specimens to hardy favourites perfect for Queensland gardens. The event promises more than just petals: live potting demonstrations will offer hands-on tips from seasoned growers, while raffles and plant sales give attendees the chance to take a little piece of the show home.
With entry just $4.00 and children admitted free, the show is a budget-friendly outing for families, hobbyists, and anyone curious about the world of orchids. Food and drinks will be available throughout the day, making it easy to linger, learn, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
“This show is a celebration of nature, community, and the joy of growing,” says a spokesperson from the Redland Orchid Society. “Whether you’re a seasoned orchid collector or just looking for a fun day out, there’s something here for everyone.”
Proceeds from the event will support the Redlands Hospital Auxiliary, adding a meaningful layer to an already joyful day.
