Brisbane City Council’s annual kerbside collection is your chance to conveniently dispose of unwanted bulky items. Items accepted include a range of household items such as bath and laundry tubs, bicycles and sporting equipment, carpets and rugs, electronic waste, furniture, small household appliances, white goods, and wood products under 1.5 cubic metres. However, many materials are not permitted.
Council will not collect items such as batteries (including car and lithium types), bean bags, bricks, concrete, car parts, tyres, chemicals, oils, commercial builders’ waste, dirt, stones, garden waste, gas bottles, glass, mirrors, hazardous waste, household rubbish or recycling, liquids, or lino and fibro sheeting, which may contain asbestos.
