The Redland Foundation, founded in 2010, epitomises the Redland community’s commitment to preserving and enhancing its exceptional quality of life.

The foundation’s mission is clear: to foster a resilient, prosperous, and caring society through strategic philanthropy and community support. By raising funds through bequests, donations, sponsorships, and events, we ensure that these resources are directed towards initiatives that tackle key societal issues and promote volunteerism.

Through structured grant programs and targeted initiatives, Redland Foundation provides essential support to the many organisations who provide the direct support and services to the Redlands community that maintains the resilience and the strength of our society.

Our foundation aims to:

  • Provide ongoing grants to community and charitable organisations.
  • Support victims of domestic and family violence.
  • Assist with aid for homelessness in the Redlands.
  • Fund relief projects in the event of a natural disaster.
  • Encourage and support those with disabilities.
  • Provide focus on key areas to assist people live healthy,
    fulfilling lives.

Successes:
In the past ten years alone, the Redland Foundation has achieved significant milestones:

  1. Provided community grants totalling approximately $900,000.
  2. Empowering domestic violence survivors: Supported community efforts to raise over $520,000 for frontline services, enabling the provision of six new accommodation units and essential security upgrades at Maybanke as well as expanded access to counselling and support services and critical case management and wellness statistics gathering.
  3. Supported a baby bridges respite centre at My Horizons and a transport crib to move premature babies from rural areas to the Mater Children’s Hospital, costing approximately $600,000 in total from the McDougall will.
  4. Raised and distributed $100,000 to people experiencing homelessness in Redlands.

Overall, the Foundation has raised $4,400,000 and expended $2,170,000. Other funds are invested to support future grant programs, domestic violence support and disaster relief in Redlands.

Looking forward, the Redland Foundation remains dedicated to nurturing a compassionate and resilient community. By continuing to collaborate with local partners and stakeholders, we strive to build on these successes and ensure a thriving future for all residents of Redlands.
