Dental on Cambridge is a local family-owned practice on Cambridge Parade in Manly that is always looking for ways to support the local community. The practice is often approached by larger organisations across Brisbane for donations, but prefers to focus its efforts within the local community. In previous years, they’ve partnered with BABI Youth and Family Service, Silky Oaks, Wynnum Community Place, and Manly State School to collect essential items for donation to those in need.

This year, they will be supporting Branches Lifestyle Support in Wynnum – a small disability service provider that encourages people to lead BIG lives. Branches provides people with disabilities the help and support they need to live independently in their own homes, as well as the opportunity to lead fulfilling lives within their community. Branches runs a Community Hub at their premises at 29 Fox Street, Wynnum. They host a variety of programs for individuals living with disabilities throughout the week, based on building skills and having fun in an engaging social environment.

They would love to be considered for donations of specific items to be used in their programs across the following categories: music, cooking, art, gardening, and tools. Suitable items include donations of small musical instruments; dry food items, cookware, and cooking utensils; paints, brushes, and art supplies; seedlings, herbs, gardening equipment; small tools, sandpaper, lubricants, spray paints, and adhesives. The Dental on Cambridge team will collect these and deliver them to Branches Lifestyle Support.

Donations can be made in November and December at Dental on Cambridge, 4/99 Cambridge Parade, Manly, Monday to Thursday from 8:30am to 6:00pm and on Fridays from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Donations will be accepted until Friday, December 12, 2025. Donations are welcome from all community members; you don’t have to be a patient to make a donation.
