MG has traditionally been known for its iconic roadsters, but now the company is applying cutting-edge technology to unleash a new generation roadster: The Cyberster. The two-seater drop top offers true supercar performance with 375Kw of power, head-turning scissor doors, and the efficiency and economic benefits of an electric car.
“We are succeeding in ways that 100 years ago, we never could have imagined,” said Giles Belcher, Chief Commercial Officer at MG Motors Australia.
“There’s a tremendous transformation happening at MG globally right now and it’s the most exciting time, being able to work as a key decision maker for Australiasia, alongside the wider MG executive team and our CEO.
“The MG4 EV, Cyberster, new HS headed for our shores, along with new ZS and all-new MG3, are a key part of the next phase of growth for MG.”
Mr Belcher said the new Modular Scalable Platform (MSP) has been designed to maximise battery efficiency, with concerted efforts to further reduce weight and allow scalable range and performance for a wide variety of customer requirements, offering enhanced interior space and luggage capacity. This technology will enable MG to offer multiple options for the rapidly expanding Australian and New Zealand electric car market, with all choices reinforcing MG’s reputation for outstanding design, market-leading technology, and excellent value for money.
If you’d like to see this traffic-stopping beauty, drop by Bartons’ Capalaba showroom from October 9 to 16 where the Cyberster will be on display.
