FROM OLLEH LENDING
Connection with people and looking after clients has been the career driver for Ross O’Shea since he started in banking 35 years ago.
“I basically wanted to do something that involved the community, to get there and provide a service that would make a difference for people,” he says.
Ross worked with two banks for 17 and 18 years respectively, most recently as a Branch Manager who could prioritise services tailored to suit each client’s needs rather than primarily satisfying the demands of banks’ sales targets.
As a local Bank Manager, I always took pride in Relationship Banking. During my tenure as a Branch Manager, we were sponsors of Iona College, St John Vianney’s, the Manly Bowls Club, Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club Fishing Classic, Wynnum Golf Club and Wynnum Fringe, to name a few. Unfortunately, due to changes beyond my control, this chapter in my banking career came to an end.
I’m pleased to announce that I’ve now moved on, and I’m working as a Commercial & Home Loan Specialist at Olleh Lending.
Ross says that he and Olleh Lending are a natural fit, both prioritising client and community care. His role as a Commercial and Home Lending Specialist affords him professional and ethical satisfaction.
“A client might be struggling to buy a home, they might have tax problems, their income might have dropped, they may need to try and purchase a property prior to selling another. Being a brokering firm that prides itself on results for our clients, we have a lot of options that we can tailor to offer solutions. That’s the really pleasing part of the job for me – looking after the client and making contributions to the local community.”
