Dogs are one of the great connectors in our community. Their presence sparks conversations and spreads joy. They can be silly or serious and utterly naughty; it’s hard not to crack a smile in the company of a goofy dog. They can be hardworking or downright lazy, stubborn yet utterly adorable. What’s not to love?
There are also hero dogs in our community, like Guide Dogs, who open up new worlds and opportunities for the people they serve. This month, Guide Dogs QLD, in conjunction with the Bayside Community Fund, Wynnum Bugs Rugby, and a host of fantastic sponsors, will present the first Pups in the Park charity event. It’s a chance for the community to come together – humans and canines – to learn more about how fabulous our furry companions can be.
Showcasing dog-oriented stalls, food trucks, raffles, and live performances by some very talented pups, Pups in the Park is a celebration of all things canine!
Funds raised from the day will flow to Guide Dogs QLD and the Bayside Community Fund, so bring your pooch along on Sunday, May 21, and get ready to ‘pup in the park!’ More on page 3.
