Hello 2026! let’s celebrate our stories for another year! - The Community Leader and Real Estate New and Views
Community

Since the first edition of The Community Leader almost six years ago, we thought that if we could get even one person to join a club, volunteer, or launch an initiative that makes our community better, we’d done our job.

Since that first edition, we’ve met so many great people. Some have kicked off charities like the Bayside Community Fund and Bayside Shelter Inc. Others spend their time volunteering with local groups such as the Bayside Community Legal Service, BABI, YMCA, and the Waterloo Bay Leisure Centre. Others bring people together through sport and exercise, like the crews running our clubs, including Wynnum Manly Junior Rugby League. And then there are the local legends – the ones who connect people, lend a hand without being asked, and just make our community a better place to be.

Whatever you do this year, whether it’s starting a new hobby, volunteering, or just putting one foot in front of the other, chalk it up as an achievement. When you look back at the end of this year, you’ll be amazed at what you got done! Small things add up.

We’re looking forward to collaborating with our community this year to bring you more stories that truly reflect the people and places that make the bayside such a great place to live. If you’ve got good news, get in touch – we’d love to hear from you. Happy 2026!
