FROM BLUE TONGUE
Wynnum locals who’ve bought coffee at the Blue Tongue coffee cart, or supported this year’s Blue Tongue Art Show, have all played a part in helping the disability support program’s participants achieve a big goal: after a year of fundraising and saving, they can finally order the kiln they’ve been waiting for!
Having an on-site kiln in the art workshop on Tingal Road will provide a huge boost to Blue Tongue’s ceramics programs, and participants can’t wait to be involved in the firing process, seeing their creations through from clay to completion.
Blue Tongue’s ceramicists have been ramping up production to stock the shelves in the Blue Tongue Collectables shop, ready for Christmas.
Their new range features artistic, brightly patterned decorative bowls and platters, as well as unique sculptural gift ideas such as candle holders and ceramic wall hangings. The first few pieces are already proudly on display in the new-look Collectables shop, which has recently had a major revamp to reflect a light, bright coastal feel – perfectly suiting the Wynnum lifestyle.
Locals are warmly invited to visit the shop to see its new look, browse for Christmas gift ideas, and enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat in the newly revamped courtyard in front of Blue Tongue Collectables at 260 Tingal Road Wynnum.
