Christmas is a time for creating memories, slowing down and taking stock of the year gone, catching up with those we love and taking a break from routine. And while the lead-up to the big day can be hectic, it’s our community’s Christmas spirit that makes this busy time of the year joyful.
So, thank you to the people who decorate their homes and gardens with twinkling lights – you’re all legends! Thank you to the local performers who bring cherished Christmas carols to life. Thank you to the volunteers who make the festive season a little less lonely for those who would otherwise be alone. And thank you to the local traders and our essential workers who do the hard slog during the festive season so we can enjoy Christmas and all its trimmings.
This year, Redlands Coast residents can wrap themselves in Christmas cheer and community spirit with a menu of events organised by Council. From Christmas light displays spanning Raby Bay to Victoria Point, to an Augmented Reality Christmas Trail that will have elves and Santa dancing before your eyes, there’s something everyone can enjoy. Take a look at page 9 for
more details.
Whatever you’re doing this Christmas – whether it’s backyard cricket and snags on the barbie, prawns on the patio, or a full roast lunch in the air-con – we wish you a very Merry Christmas!
